Arts and Education Council

Founded in 1963, the Arts and Education Council is the only privately funded arts umbrella organization whose geographic reach benefits the 16-county bi-state area of St. Louis. The Council has raised and distributed nearly $100 million, solely through donations. Every year, these funds in the form of grants assist approximately 70 non-profit arts and arts education organizations, which in turn allow more than five million children and adults to experience music, theater, dance, film, literary arts, visual arts and outreach programs.
